Update:

We are no longer able to provide walk-in or drop off tax filings. If you still need to file your taxes, we recommend visiting www.myfreetaxes.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to people who generally make $56,000 or less, persons with disabilities, and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

The Mary Rigg VITA site will be open every Saturday starting February 1st until April 4th, 2020 from 10 am - 2 pm.

Before coming to Mary Rigg, see IRS Publication 3676-B for services provided and check out the What to Bring page to ensure you have all the required documents and information our volunteers will need to help you. *Note: available services can vary at each site due to the availability of volunteers certified with the tax law expertise required for your return.

We will be accepting walk-in appointments only on a first come - first served basis. The number of clients served will be based on the number of volunteers available. Sign ups will begin at 9:30 am on each Saturday.

For more information please contact Ashley Piland / Mary Rigg 317-639-616 x 208 or Mary Stevenson / Hawthorne Community Center 317-637-4312 x 122.
