On Tuesday, November 27th, the Community Advisory Council along with other community members held the first Winter Welcome Celebration intended to feed families dinner, provide free Santa pics, free hats & gloves, games, prizes, and put on a talent show for the community at the Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center.

The goal of this event was to create an environment where neighbors pent time together to build culture and community. We welcomed regardless of their background or heritage. The talent show to celebrated the gifts of local children and residents in the community and engaged younger and older children. Warm meals were served to encourage families to eat together and learn about each other and their neighbors so we can continue to build community and culture.

Our 388 attendees enjoyed:

Free Pictures with Santa Clause
Holiday Exhibit
Free Dinner
Talent Show
Live DJ
Live Entertainment
Kids Zone – Coloring, Games, Face painting
Free Prizes
