Turn Your Clothing Donations to Goodwill Into Clothing Vouchers for MRNC Clients

Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center has been fortunate to partner with Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana's Collect & Connect program. The program allows Mary Rigg supporters to make donations to Goodwill that also benefit clients using services at Mary Rigg.

Supporters fill a 13 gallon or larger bag with clothes, shoes, and accessories; attach a flyer; and drop off at any Goodwill in the Indianapolis and surrounding area. For each bag Goodwill provides a voucher to Mary Rigg.

We then give the vouchers to clients to purchase needed clothing items from Goodwill. Many clients use the vouchers to purchase clothes for upcoming job interviews; school uniform items for their children; clothing for work (such as scrubs or business casual outfits); and seasonal items like coats and other winter gear.

To ensure your donation to Goodwill also benefits Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center through the Collect & Connect program, simply download this flyer (prints 2 per page) and attach to each bag of clothing you donate.

A recent thank you note from TJ, a client in one of our workforce development programs, had recently lost his apartment -- and most of the stuff in it -- due to extenuating circumstances. The hard-working father of 2 desperately needed to replace his children's clothes. Vouchers from the Collect & Connect program allowed him to get everything he needed for his children as well as needed items for himself.
