We are elated to announce that Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center has been selected to be a part of the exciting Fresh Thyme Giving Bag Program, designed to create revenue streams for non-profits like us.

Each month the Market Food Pantry at Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center helps more than 200 families. Recently, in order to meet the need for fresh produce, we have expanded to offer #producefriday each month. The first two Fridays showcased the growing need for food resources for families in West Indianapolis, with well over 100 families visiting each time. Programs like the Fresh Thyme Giving Bag allow us to offset delivery costs to bring food to the center as well as supplement food pantry offerings with occasional purchases of needed items, like frozen meat.

The Fresh Thyme Giving Bag Program offers a special Giving Bag featuring a Giving Tag. This tag allows shoppers to direct a $1 donation to qualifying non-profits. During the month of March at the Rockville Road Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, any donation NOT directed by a shopper will automatically go to Mary Rigg!

All you have to do is go to the Fresh Thyme store at Rockville Road and buy the Giving Bag. That’s it! The Fresh Thyme Giving Bag can support us while also helping to eliminate single-use paper/plastic bags!

Let’s get started! We can begin by spreading the news to our friends and family.
Send emails, call, and post on social media! The more people who learn about the program and purchase the Fresh Thyme Giving Bag during the month of March, the more money we will raise!
